Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched TCS ADD™ AgentHub, an enterprise-ready AI platform designed to accelerate drug development. This new platform aims to transform clinical trials and pharmacovigilance by enabling the scaled use of agentic AI within highly regulated environments. It promises efficiency gains in data management, study build, and safety case processing, supporting a Human + AI operating model.
TCS Launches Agentic AI Platform for Drug Development
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the launch of its new platform, TCS ADD™ AgentHub, on August 17, 2026. This role-based, enterprise-ready, and trusted AI platform is designed to enable the scaled application of agentic AI in drug development, particularly within highly regulated environments. The platform aims to transform clinical trials and pharmacovigilance services by enhancing trust, governance, and scalability.
Key Features and Benefits
TCS ADD™ AgentHub provides a structured framework where AI agents can operate with defined roles, oversight, and built-in auditability. Pharmaceutical companies can customize and deploy these AI agents across clinical workflows, facilitating rapid integration and regulatory compliance. The platform is expected to deliver operational benefits such as up to 40% efficiency gains in clinical data management, up to 30% reduction in clinical study build effort, and up to 30% cost savings in end-to-end safety case processing. AI-powered safety agents can also reduce quality control effort by as much as 50%.
Human + AI Operating Model
Built on TCS ADD™ agentic AI architecture, the platform supports a Human + AI Operating Model. In this model, AI agents are embedded into enterprise workflows, with human oversight retained for governance and decision-making. Debashis Ghosh, President, Lifesciences and Healthcare, TCS, stated that the platform enables customers to accelerate drug development using agentic AI at scale, shifting operations from reactive to proactive and scalable.
Supported Workflows and Future Vision
The TCS ADD™ AgentHub supports various workflows across clinical development and pharmacovigilance, including ICSR intake, data entry, coding, review, literature analysis, study design, protocol digitization, and medical monitoring. TCS aims to become the world’s largest AI-led technology services company by leveraging its proprietary cognitive intelligence, enabling tangible, predictive, and secure digital ecosystems.
