TCS: Renews Jaguar Racing Title Partnership, Expands AI Role

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a multi-year extension of its title partnership with Jaguar TCS Racing. The collaboration will also see TCS expand its role to become the team’s Official AI Partner as Formula E enters its high-performance GEN4 era. This enhanced partnership aims to leverage AI and advanced technologies to drive innovation in racing operations and develop next-generation electric vehicles.

TCS and Jaguar TCS Racing Extend Partnership

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Jaguar TCS Racing have officially announced a significant multi-year extension of their existing title partnership. This renewed collaboration solidifies a successful relationship that has seen Jaguar TCS Racing win the 2024 and 2026 ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championships.

Expanded Role as Official AI Partner

In addition to continuing as the title sponsor, TCS will significantly expand its involvement by becoming the Official AI Partner for Jaguar TCS Racing. This move aligns with Formula E’s entry into the high-performance GEN4 era. The enhanced partnership will focus on utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and other advanced technologies to unlock new efficiencies in racing operations and engineering. Furthermore, it aims to generate insights crucial for the development of next-generation Jaguar electric vehicles.

Focus on Innovation and Future Technology

The collaboration is set to explore how AI can optimize performance and accelerate the electrification journey from the racetrack to road-going vehicles. A key element of the partnership is TCS’s Virtual Vehicle Validation Model (V3M), which aids in validating software changes and running continuous simulations. The renewed agreement will also see TCS continue its involvement with the ‘Ignite My Future’ initiative, inspiring future engineers and data scientists through real-world applications in motorsport.

Strategic Alignment and Shared Vision

Abhinav Kumar, Global Chief Marketing Officer, TCS, expressed enthusiasm for the extended partnership, highlighting the shared ambition to innovate. Chris Thorp, Chairman of JLR Motorsport, emphasized that the collaboration has been instrumental in pushing boundaries of performance and efficiency, and that extending the partnership is grounded in proven delivery and a clear vision for leveraging data and AI.
