Following Mr. Banerjee’s superannuation, Tata Steel has appointed Mr. Manish Garg as the new Chief Information Officer. This appointment is also effective from November 1, 2026. Mr. Garg brings a wealth of experience to this position, with nearly 29 years at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he focused on digital transformation and led cross-cultural global teams across various industries. His expertise spans BFSI, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, energy, and communication sectors, with a strong track record in solving complex business challenges through technology. He holds advanced degrees from IIT Kanpur and IIT Delhi, underpinning his strong technical and strategic capabilities. This appointment aims to leverage his extensive experience to drive Tata Steel’s information technology landscape forward.
