Statutory Auditor Change at Tata Motors

Tata Motors Limited (formerly TML Commercial Vehicles Limited) announced a significant change in its statutory auditors following a Board of Directors meeting held on October 31, 2026. The Board officially acknowledged the resignation of M/s. B S R & Co. LLP, Chartered Accountants, from their role as the Company’s statutory auditors, effective October 30, 2026. Deloitte Appointed as New Auditors

In a subsequent resolution, the Board approved the appointment of M/s. Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, Chartered Accountants, as the new statutory auditors for Tata Motors. This appointment, made upon the recommendation of the Audit Committee, is effective from October 31, 2026. The new auditors will fill the casual vacancy arising from the resignation of B S R & Co. LLP. This appointment is pending the requisite approval from the company’s shareholders.

Resignation Rationale

The resignation of B S R & Co. LLP was prompted by the ongoing acquisition of Iveco Group N.V. by Tata Motors. Following the completion of this acquisition, Iveco is expected to become a subsidiary. To ensure consistency and synergies in the audit process across the group, particularly with Iveco’s existing audit firm, Tata Motors proposed aligning its group auditors. This strategic alignment led to the mutual agreement for B S R & Co. LLP to resign.
