Tata Communications Strong Q4 Performance Driven by Digital Portfolio Growth

Tata Communications concluded the financial year ended March 31, 2026, with strong performance, notably in its digital portfolio. The company reported a 11.5% YoY growth in data revenue for the quarter. A final dividend of ₹17.50 per share was recommended by the Board of Directors. The company also announced strategic leadership changes, with Vivek Manglik appointed as Executive Vice President – Interaction Fabric, while Mukul Kumar will be retiring as Head of ESG.

Financial Highlights for FY26

Tata Communications has demonstrated resilience and growth in the final quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. Consolidated gross revenue reached ₹24,803 crore for the full year, a 7.3% increase year-on-year. Data revenue, a core component of the company’s business, grew by 9.4% annually to reach ₹21,352 crore. The digital portfolio continues to be a primary growth engine, expanding by 16.7% to ₹10,621 crore.

Strategic Dividend Recommendation

In recognition of the company’s performance and long-term value creation, the Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹17.50 per share (a 175% payout on a face value of ₹10 each) for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. This dividend is subject to approval by shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Leadership Transitions

The company announced significant leadership changes to strengthen its management team. Mr. Vivek Manglik has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President – Interaction Fabric, effective May 4, 2026. He brings over three decades of experience in the telecommunications and digital infrastructure sector. Concurrently, Mr. Mukul Kumar, Head of ESG, will retire from his position effective April 30, 2026.

Future Governance and Audit

As part of its long-term governance strategy, the Board has recommended the appointment of Deloitte Haskins & Sells Chartered Accountants LLP as the new Statutory Auditors. Their term is proposed to span five consecutive years, starting from the conclusion of the 41st Annual General Meeting in 2027 through to the 46th Annual General Meeting in 2032.
