Standalone Performance Highlights (Q2 FY27)
- Revenue from operations stood at ₹1,303 crore, an increase of 8% compared to Q2 FY26, driven by higher volumes and realisations.
- EBITDA grew by 22% to ₹292 crore compared to Q2 FY26, attributed to higher volumes and realisations, partially offset by increased costs.
- Profit After Tax from continuing operations was ₹122 crore, a decrease of 31% compared to Q2 FY26.
Consolidated Performance Highlights (Q2 FY27)
- Revenue from operations increased by 8% to ₹4,177 crore compared to Q2 FY26, supported by higher volumes in India and the US, and increased realisations in India. Operations in Kenya were temporarily suspended.
- EBITDA was ₹381 crore, a decrease from ₹537 crore in Q2 FY26. This was mainly due to lower realisations in overseas subsidiaries, higher energy and logistics costs in the UK, and the temporary suspension of operations in Kenya.
- Loss After Tax stood at ₹50 crore, compared to a Profit After Tax of ₹219 crore in Q2 FY26, primarily due to lower realisations, higher energy and logistics costs, reduced other income, and lower joint venture income.
- Net debt (excluding leases) as of September 30, 2026, was ₹6,127 crore.
Half-Yearly Performance Highlights (H1 FY27)
Standalone (H1 FY27)
- Revenue from operations reached ₹2,584 crore, up 9% from H1 FY26 due to higher volumes and realisations.

Consolidated (H1 FY27)
- Revenue from operations was ₹8,432 crore, an increase of 11% compared to H1 FY26, driven by higher volumes despite pricing pressure in most regions outside India.
- EBITDA was ₹936 crore, down from ₹1,186 crore in H1 FY26, primarily due to lower realisations in overseas subsidiaries, higher energy and logistics costs in the UK, and the temporary suspension of operations in Kenya.
- Profit After Tax (before exceptional items and NCI) was ₹10 crore compared to ₹535 crore in H1 FY26.
Market Outlook and Strategy
The company highlighted that while the external environment remains challenging, its integrated operations, disciplined balance sheet, and portfolio transformation provide a strong foundation for growth. Management commented on positive demand in ‘Living Essentials’ and cautious optimism for ‘Farm Essentials’, while acknowledging ongoing challenges in ‘Industrial Essentials’, particularly soda ash, due to global oversupply and cost pressures. The company continues to focus on operational excellence, cost reduction, and cash generation.
