Sundaram Finance: Q1 FY27 Profit After Tax at ₹521.61 Crore

Sundaram Finance has announced its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹521.61 crore for its standalone operations and ₹568.86 crore on a consolidated basis. Total income for the standalone operations stood at ₹2,085.80 crore, while consolidated total income reached ₹2,653.34 crore.

Standalone Financial Highlights

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Sundaram Finance reported a total standalone income of ₹2,085.80 crore. The total expenses for the same period amounted to ₹1,406.80 crore, leading to a Profit Before Tax of ₹679.00 crore. After accounting for tax expenses of ₹157.39 crore, the Profit After Tax (PAT) for the standalone entity stood at ₹521.61 crore. The basic and diluted Earnings Per Equity Share (EPS) were 46.95.

Consolidated Financial Performance

On a consolidated basis, Sundaram Finance and its subsidiaries reported a total income of ₹2,653.34 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Total expenses were recorded at ₹1,886.15 crore. The Group’s Profit Before Tax was ₹767.19 crore, with tax expenses totaling ₹198.33 crore (Current tax: ₹245.32 crore, Deferred tax: ₹(46.99) crore). Consequently, the consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter was ₹568.86 crore. The consolidated basic and diluted EPS was 57.71.

Key Financial Indicators

The disclosed financial results also include various key financial ratios. For the standalone operations as of June 30, 2026, the Debt Equity Ratio was 4.17, Networth stood at ₹13,595.64 crore, and Total Debts to Total Assets were 79.59%. Operating Margin was 53.19% and Net Profit Margin was 25.13%. The Capital Adequacy Ratio was reported at 18.49%.

Disclosure on Non-Convertible Debentures

In a separate disclosure, Sundaram Finance confirmed the utilization of proceeds from Non-Convertible Debentures issued during the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company stated that the proceeds were fully utilized for their intended purposes with no deviation from the objects of the issue. The total amount raised and utilized across three such issuances was significant, with funds utilized for Secured Redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures amounting to ₹770.16 crore, ₹1,263.13 crore, and ₹802.69 crore respectively.

Asset Cover Certificate

An Asset Cover Certificate, as of June 30, 2026, confirms the book value of assets provided as security for Secured Listed Debt Securities. The total value of assets provided as security amounted to ₹20,578.88 crore, ensuring adequate cover for the outstanding debt.
