Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited Secures New Domestic Orders Worth ~INR 3,550 Crore

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has announced a significant boost to its order book, with new domestic project wins totaling ~INR 3,550 crore. The highlight is being declared the L1 bidder for an 875 MW solar PV project by Coal India in Rajasthan. These developments have pushed the company’s total EPC order inflows for FY26 to exceed INR 10,062 crore, surpassing initial annual targets.

Expanding Solar Footprint

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has achieved a major milestone in its growth trajectory. The company has been declared the L1 bidder for a prestigious turn-key Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract. The project involves the development of an 875 MW (AC) grid-connected Solar PV facility in Bikaner, Rajasthan, commissioned by Coal India. The total contract value for this project, including Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and applicable taxes, is approximately INR 3,490 crore.

Strengthening Market Position

In addition to the large-scale project in Rajasthan, the company has secured a separate order for a 50 MW AC solar project in Maharashtra from a prominent Indian Private Independent Power Producer (IPP). These twin successes demonstrate the company’s strong competitive position in the Indian renewable energy sector.

FY26 Financial Performance

With these latest contracts, SWREL has successfully surpassed its initial order inflow targets for the financial year. The total value of EPC order inflows for FY26 has now exceeded INR 10,062 crore. Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, noted that these wins underscore the company’s commitment to supporting India’s renewable energy growth story and provide a strong foundation as the company enters the next phase of its expansion.
