State Bank of India Withdrawal of Nomination for Director Election

State Bank of India has announced that Shri Dharmendra Singh Shekhawat has officially withdrawn his nomination for the upcoming election of directors. The election for four positions on the Central Board is scheduled to take place during the General Meeting of the Shareholders on May 15, 2026. Following this withdrawal, the bank will proceed with the remaining validly nominated candidates for the voting process.

Update on Board Election

State Bank of India has issued an update regarding the election of four Directors to its Central Board. The process, originally notified in late April and early May 2026, has seen a change in the candidate lineup. Shri Dharmendra Singh Shekhawat, whose candidacy was previously confirmed as valid, has formally chosen to withdraw his nomination.

Shareholder Meeting Details

The bank is set to hold its General Meeting of Shareholders on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 03:00 PM. As per the latest announcement, the election will proceed with the remaining list of validly nominated candidates. The meeting will be conducted via Video Conferencing (VC) and Other Audio Visual Means (OAVM) to ensure shareholder participation.

Voting Process

Following the exclusion of the withdrawn candidate, the election process remains on track for the specified date. Shareholders are advised that the voting will cover the remaining qualified candidates to fill the four director positions on the Central Board of the Bank.
