Star Cement Board Approves Financial Results and Declares Interim Dividend
Kolkata, November 6, 2026 – Star Cement Limited announced today that its Board of Directors, following a meeting on the same day, has officially approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the second quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026. This approval comes after a recommendation from the Audit Committee.
Interim Dividend Declared
In a significant move for shareholders, the Board of Directors has declared an interim dividend of 100%, equivalent to ₹1 per equity share, for the Financial Year 2026-27. The dividend will be paid to eligible shareholders within 30 days of its declaration. The ‘Record Date’ for determining the eligible shareholders for this dividend has been set as Friday, November 13, 2026.
Re-appointment and Internal Auditors
The Board also approved the re-appointment of Mr. Nirmalya Bhattacharyya (DIN: 09037566) as an Independent Director for a further period of two years, effective from February 1, 2027, up to January 31, 2029. This re-appointment is subject to shareholder and other applicable approvals. Furthermore, based on the Audit Committee’s recommendation, the Board approved the appointment of an in-house team, led by Mr. Gaurav Satnaliwala, as the Internal Auditors for the Financial Year 2026-27.
Fundraising Proposal Deferred
In a separate decision, Star Cement will not be proceeding with its previously proposed fund-raising through a further issue of securities, aiming to raise up to ₹1,500 crore. The Board, after considering the geopolitical situation, capital market conditions, and the company’s capital expenditure needs, decided to defer this proposal for the time being. However, the company indicated that this deferment would not impact the implementation of ongoing projects, as funding will be arranged through internal accruals or bank borrowings.
The Board meeting commenced at 12:30 p.m. and concluded at 02:00 p.m. The financial results and related information have been uploaded to the company’s website at www.starcement.co.in.
