Star Cement Limited has announced its financial performance for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026. The company reported robust annual growth, with consolidated revenue reaching ₹3,795.74 crore and a profit after tax of ₹390.46 crore. Alongside the financial results, the Board approved a significant leadership transition, with Mr. Prem Kumar Bhajanka assuming the role of Vice Chairman and Mr. Tushar Bhajanka appointed as Managing Director and CEO.
Annual Financial Highlights
For the financial year ended March 31, 2026, Star Cement delivered strong performance. On a consolidated basis, the company achieved a total revenue of ₹3,795.74 crore compared to ₹3,173.96 crore in the previous year. The net profit for the year stood at ₹390.46 crore, reflecting a solid increase from ₹168.82 crore recorded in FY2025. Standalone revenue for the full year was ₹2,406.73 crore with a profit after tax of ₹130.27 crore.
Leadership Transition
The Board of Directors has approved key organizational changes to strengthen executive management. Mr. Prem Kumar Bhajanka has been elevated from Managing Director to Vice Chairman & Managing Director. Consequently, Mr. Tushar Bhajanka, previously the Deputy Managing Director, has been appointed as the Managing Director & CEO for a term of three years, effective from May 22, 2026, through May 21, 2029.
Operational Milestones
The company continues to expand its production capabilities. During the fourth quarter of FY2026, Star Cement North East Limited commenced commercial cement production at its new grinding unit in Silchar, Assam. This facility adds an installed capacity of 2 million tons per annum, significantly bolstering the company’s regional footprint and operational reach.
Strategic Appointments
In addition to leadership changes, the company has re-appointed M/s B. G. Chowdhury & Co. as the Cost Auditors for the FY 2026-27. The Board has also initiated a postal ballot process to seek shareholder approval for the revised terms and conditions regarding the re-appointment of the new Managing Director and CEO, ensuring alignment with the company’s governance standards.
