SJVN Limited has announced the promotion of two officials to the position of Executive Directors (Senior Management). These promotions are effective from their respective dates of assumption of charge. Concurrently, two other officials have retired from their Senior Management roles due to superannuation. This reshuffle in senior leadership is in compliance with SEBI’s disclosure requirements.
SJVN Announces Senior Management Changes
SJVN Limited has officially informed the stock exchanges about significant changes within its senior management team. In a move that underscores internal growth and leadership development, two officials have been elevated to the crucial role of Executive Director (Senior Management). These promotions are effective from the date they assume their new responsibilities, signaling a strengthening of the company’s leadership cadre.
Leadership Transitions
The company also noted that two other senior management personnel have retired from their positions following superannuation. This transition marks the end of their long-standing service to SJVN Limited. Details of New Executive Directors
Shri Vikas Sharma has been appointed as an Executive Director (Civil), effective August 1, 2026. He brings over 30 years of extensive experience in the power sector, with a particular focus on the development and execution of hydroelectric projects. His expertise spans project governance, mega hydro and thermal infrastructure, tunneling, and stakeholder management. Shri Sharma’s career includes significant contributions to major projects both internationally and within India, including roles with Impregilo SPA, L&T, and Gammon.
Shri Manmeet Gupta has been promoted as an Executive Director. His career at SJVN Limited began on September 13, 1993, accumulating over thirty-three years of service. He has contributed to various critical functions within the company, including contract management, quality control, commercial disputes for hydro, wind, and solar projects, and has experience with large-scale projects like the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro power station and the Tala Hydroelectric Project in Bhutan. His tenure also includes work with the Vigilance Department and the Buxar Thermal Power Project.
Departing Senior Management
Shri Baljeet Singh has ceased to be part of the Senior Management team due to superannuation, effective July 31, 2026. Similarly, Shri Rajesh Kumar Sharma has also retired due to superannuation.
