Mr. Adhikari, who currently serves as the Director (Technical) for NHPC Limited, assumed his new responsibilities at SJVN effective May 12, 2026. This appointment is set for a period of one year, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, whichever is earlier.
Professional Background and Expertise
With a career spanning over 36 years, Shri Adhikari is a seasoned professional in the hydro-power sector. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology, Shibpur. Throughout his tenure at NHPC, he has been instrumental in the commissioning of several high-capacity projects, including the 800 MW Parbati II Hydro Electric Project and the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower HE Project, as well as significant solar initiatives in Bikaner.

SJVN Limited aims to leverage Mr. Adhikari’s deep technical expertise in both project implementation and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) to bolster its ongoing energy initiatives.
