Schneider Electric Infrastructure Sees Strong Order Intake and Sales Growth
Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited (SEIL) has announced its financial results for the second quarter and the first half of FY27, ending September 30, 2026. The company reported a significant surge in order intake, achieving its highest-ever quarterly figure of ₹1,265 crores in Q2’FY27, marking a substantial 50.9% increase compared to the same period last year.
Financial Highlights for Q2 and H1 FY27
For the second quarter, sales reached ₹779 crores, representing a 19.8% year-on-year growth. The company’s order backlog as of September 30, 2026, stood at an impressive ₹2,701 crores, up by 49.6% year-on-year, providing strong sales visibility.
During the first half of FY27 (H1’FY27), SEIL’s order intake was ₹2,180 crores, an increase of 24.7% year-on-year. Sales for the half-year amounted to ₹1,430 crores, up 12.5% year-on-year. However, Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) saw a decline, with Q2’FY27 EBIT at ₹56 crores (down from ₹72 crores) and H1’FY27 EBIT at ₹64 crores (down from ₹130 crores). This was attributed to commodity price volatility and the lag in passing on higher input costs on legacy orders.
Strategic Investments and Outlook
SEIL continues to invest in capacity expansion and sustainability initiatives. The Board of Directors approved a further capacity expansion at the Kolkata facility, involving an investment of ₹211 crores to increase Vacuum Interrupter and Breaker capacity by FY 2028-29. The company was also recognized for its sustainability and governance efforts, receiving awards for Excellence in Sustainability and Corporate Governance.
Management expressed optimism, highlighting the strong order quarter, momentum in sales execution, and the robust order backlog. The company is focusing on timely delivery, operational excellence, and improving margin quality through disciplined execution and portfolio enrichment.
