SBI Card’s ESG Performance Shows Growth
SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited has reported an improved Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) score for the fiscal year 2025-26. The company was assigned an adjusted ESG score of 80.2 by SES ESG Research Private Limited, a SEBI registered ESG Rating Provider. This represents a positive year-on-year increase of +0.5 points from the FY 2024-25 score of 79.7.
Key Drivers of Improvement
The enhanced ESG score is primarily attributed to advancements in the company’s Environmental and Governance performance, while its Social performance remained stable. Improvements in the Environmental pillar were driven by reduced non-renewable energy consumption, lower Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, increased renewable energy usage, and a waste recovery rate of approximately 93%.
The Governance pillar saw enhancements due to greater board diversity, the implementation of ESG-linked remuneration, and the absence of regulatory penalties or bribery cases. The company’s ESG score for FY 2025-26 has also been uploaded to its official website, www.sbicard.com.
