Ramkrishna Forgings Limited (RKFL) has commissioned a new 8000 Ton Hot Forging Press Line, adding 40,000 Tonnes Per Annum (TPA) capacity. This addition, effective March 06, 2026, raises the company’s total forging capacity (including Aluminum) to 3,11,400 TPA. The expansion required an investment of Rs. 80.00 Crore, funded by a mix of debt and internal accruals.
Commissioning of New Manufacturing Asset
Ramkrishna Forgings Limited is pleased to announce the successful commencement of commercial production for a new manufacturing asset at its PLANT V facility in Jharkhand. The asset is an 8000 Ton Hot Forging Press Line, which immediately contributes an installed capacity addition of 40,000 Tonnes Per Annum (TPA).
This capacity upgrade took effect on March 06, 2026. The rationale behind this expansion is specifically to enhance the company’s hot forging capacity by the aforementioned 40,000 tonnes.
Impact on Total Production Capacity
With the integration of this new press line, the total forging production capacity of Ramkrishna Forgings Limited, inclusive of Aluminium Forging, now stands at 3,11,400 Tonnes Per Annum. As of December 31, 2025, the company was operating its existing capacity of 2,68,400 TPA at a utilization rate of 73.20%.
Investment Details
The capital outlay required for this capacity addition totaled Rs. 80.00 Crore. The financing structure for this investment utilized a combination of debt and internal accruals.
