Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Shri Ashutosh Gautam as Executive Director (Civil). The appointment became effective on the afternoon of April 17, 2026. Shri Gautam joins the company on an immediate absorption basis following his tenure with the National Highways Authority of India.
Professional Background and Expertise
Shri Ashutosh Gautam brings over 33 years of comprehensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, including highways, ports, inland water transport, and urban development. His career is marked by significant leadership roles, including serving as Member (Technical) for the Jal Marg Vikas Project and holding additional responsibilities for Traffic & Logistics at the Inland Waterways Authority of India.
Throughout his career, he has managed projects worth thousands of crores and served as the project director for major World Bank road projects in Uttar Pradesh. An accomplished academic, he holds a Gold medal for B.Tech (Civil) and a Silver medal for M.Tech from IIT Delhi. He also serves as an honorary visiting faculty at various prestigious institutions, including IITs, IIMs, and LBSNAA, contributing his expertise in large-scale contract administration and FIDIC contracts.
