Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced the promotion and appointment of Vegi Ramu Naidu as Executive Director/Civil, effective December 3, 2025. Naidu, an Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer, brings extensive experience in railway and highway infrastructure construction to the role, where he will be a part of the Senior Management Personnel of the company.

Profile of Vegi Ramu Naidu
V.R. Naidu is a 1993 Batch Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer. He holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from NIT, Warangal, and a PGDIM from IGNOU. He has extensive experience in railway operations, highway infrastructure construction, HR, stores management, and contract management.
Previous Role
Prior to this appointment, Naidu served as CPM (Group General Manager) in Rail Vikas Nigam Limited for the past six years at Visakhapatnam. In this role, he was responsible for the construction of railway doubling from Sambalpur to Titlagarh, a project involving significant bridges across 182 Kms. Other projects included the construction of MEMU shed extension at Khurda Road, a wagon workshop at Vadlapudi, and the construction of a railway third line from Vizianagaram to Titlagarh, which also included crucial bridges across 262 Kms.
Additional Responsibilities
Naidu’s past projects also include the construction of an NHAI 4-lane project from Samarlakota to Achampeta, covering a distance of 12.250 Kms.
