Major Solar Project Awarded

Oswal Pumps Limited has announced the receipt of a significant Letter of Award (LoA) from North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL). This award is for the development of a 20 MW Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Project, which is a substantial expansion of the company’s renewable energy initiatives.

Project Details and Scope

The project encompasses setting up rooftop solar capacity across 18,089 consumer sites, with each plant having a capacity of 1.1 kW. This initiative falls under the ‘Utility-Led Aggregation’ model of the PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana. The installations will be concentrated in the Darbhanga Circle of Bihar. The contract value for these installations is approximately ₹78 crore, inclusive of GST.

Timeline and Future Operations

The project is mandated to be executed within 9 months from the date of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signing. Beyond installation, the scope also includes the operation and maintenance (O&M) of these rooftop solar systems for a period of 10 years post-commissioning. This ensures a long-term revenue stream and reinforces Oswal Pumps’ commitment to the renewable energy sector.

Estimated Revenue Potential

Beyond the immediate installation value, the project carries an estimated long-term revenue potential of approximately ₹67 crore from energy supply over the 10-year tenure under the RESCO model. This brings the cumulative revenue opportunity to approximately ₹145 crore.
