The company secured 500 MW capacity for assured peak power supply, participating in a tender for 6000MWh (1500MW x 4Hrs). NTPC REL Secures Significant Renewable Capacity

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has been declared a successful bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). This auction was for the selection of RE Power Developers for an Assured Peak Supply of 6000 MWh (1500 MW x 4 Hrs.). The tender, identified as SECI-FDRE-IX, falls under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding for ISTS-Connected RE Projects in India.

Key Tender Details and Outcome

As per the terms of the Request for Selection (RfS), NTPC REL has successfully secured a contracted capacity of 500 MW. The discovered tariff for this significant capacity is ₹6.00/kWh. The e-reverse auction concluded on August 21st, 2026, marking a substantial addition to NTPC REL’s renewable energy generation capabilities and contributing to its strategic growth objectives.
