NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the addition of 37.925 MW capacity to its Khavda Solar Energy Project in Gujarat. This expansion is part of a larger 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project. The added capacity brings NGEL’s total installed capacity to 7,927.26 MW. Commercial operation commenced on December 18, 2025.
Khavda Solar Project Update
NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commercial operation of an additional capacity at its Khavda Solar Energy Project located in Gujarat. The added capacity amounts to 37.925 MW. This is a part of the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project.
Commercial Operation Details
The company announced that the commercial operation of this additional capacity was effective from 00:00 hrs on December 18, 2025.
Impact on Total Capacity
With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group has increased to 7927.26 MW. The current commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group now stands at 7,889.335 MW.
