NMDC: Sets New Iron Ore Prices Effective September 9, 2026

NMDC Limited has announced new fixed prices for its iron ore products, effective from September 9, 2026. Lump Ore (65.5%, 10-40mm) will be priced at ₹5,400 per ton, while Fines (64%, -10mm) will be set at ₹4,500 per ton. These prices are FOR (Freight on Road) and exclude various charges like royalty, taxes, and transit fees.

NMDC Announces New Iron Ore Pricing

NMDC Limited, a major public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, has declared its revised pricing for iron ore. These new rates are effective from September 9, 2026, and represent a significant adjustment in the company’s revenue streams for its key commodity.

Key Price Adjustments

The updated pricing structure includes the following:

  • Lump Ore (65.5%, 10-40mm): Priced at ₹5,400 per ton.
  • Fines (64%, -10mm): Priced at ₹4,500 per ton.

It is important to note that these prices are quoted on a FOR (Freight on Road) basis. They are exclusive of additional charges such as Royalty, DMF (District Mineral Foundation), NMEDT (National Mine Environment Trust), Cess, Forest Permit Fee, transit fee, GST (Goods and Services Tax), environmental Cess, and other applicable taxes. These exclusions mean the final cost to buyers will be higher.
