NHPC Limited has announced its audited financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026. The company reported strong operational performance and has recommended a final dividend of ₹0.21 per share for FY 2025-26. Additionally, the Board has approved a borrowing plan to raise up to ₹2,000 crore through the private placement of non-convertible bonds in FY 2026-27 to support ongoing capital requirements and infrastructure development.
Financial Highlights for FY 2026
For the financial year ended March 31, 2026, NHPC Limited reported total standalone income of ₹11,650.10 crore, compared to ₹10,456.35 crore in the previous fiscal year. The company’s profit for the year stood at ₹3,617.80 crore, reflecting solid growth from the ₹3,083.98 crore recorded in FY 2025. On a consolidated basis, the annual profit reached ₹4,220.46 crore.
Dividend Distribution
Demonstrating commitment to shareholder value, the Board has recommended a final dividend of 2.10% of the face value of ₹10/- per share, amounting to ₹0.21 per equity share for the fiscal year 2025-26. This is in addition to the interim dividend of ₹1.40 per share already distributed in February 2026. The final payout remains subject to approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
Strategic Fundraising and Expansion
The company continues to bolster its capital structure to support its growth trajectory. The Board has authorized the raising of funds through the issuance of listed, unsecured, non-cumulative, non-convertible, redeemable, taxable AI Series bonds. This private placement, valued at up to ₹2,000 crore, is earmarked for the borrowing plan of the 2026-27 financial year.
Operational Milestones
NHPC continues to scale its generation capacity. Key project updates include the commissioning of the 800 MW Parbati-II H.E. Project in April 2025, the 300 MW Karnisar Solar Power Project, and the initial 750 MW capacity of the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Project. These additions signify a robust pipeline of operational assets contributing to the company’s energy generation portfolio.
