NHPC Limited has announced the appointment of multiple firms of Cost Accountants to conduct cost audits for the upcoming financial year, 2026-27. This significant decision was formalized by the company’s Board of Directors during a meeting held on Friday, August 28, 2026.
Key Appointments and Scope of Work
Among the appointed firms, M/s Dhananjay V. Joshi & Associates, New Delhi, has been designated as the Lead Cost Auditor. This firm will be responsible for the consolidation of Cost Audit Reports for all power stations and the submission of the Consolidated Cost Audit Report in Form CRA-3 for FY 2026-27.

Notes on Appointments
Appointments for the 100 MW Solar Power Project, Andhra Pradesh, the 200 MW Solar Power Project Khavda, Stage-III, Gujarat, and the 40 MW Solar Power Project, Ganjam, Odisha are contingent upon their becoming commercially operative during FY 2026-27.
The appointment for the Rangit-IV Project is subject to the merger of Jalpower Corporation Limited with NHPC Limited and its subsequent commercial operation during FY 2026-27.
