NHPC Limited has announced the appointment of Shri Paresh Rasiklal Ranpara as an Additional Director and Director (Personnel) on its Board. This appointment, effective from July 27, 2026, follows an order from the Ministry of Power. Shri Ranpara brings extensive experience in human resources and has previously held leadership roles in State and Central Public Sector Undertakings, including Grid Controller of India Limited.

NHPC Limited has officially appointed Shri Paresh Rasiklal Ranpara as an Additional Director and Director (Personnel) to its Board. This strategic appointment was approved by the Board of Directors and is in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, pursuant to an order from the Ministry of Power dated July 27, 2026.
Shri Ranpara assumed the charge of Director (Personnel) on July 30, 2026. He is not related to any existing Directors of the Company and has not been debarred from holding a directorship by any regulatory authority.
Shri Paresh Rasiklal Ranpara’s Profile
Shri Paresh Rasiklal Ranpara is a seasoned HR leader with diverse experience across the power sector, having served in both State and Central Public Sector Undertakings. His professional journey encompasses leadership roles in organizations ranging from approximately 600 employees to those exceeding 60,000, providing him with broad exposure to varied organizational scales and people management environments. He has worked from grassroots to board-level leadership, bringing deep insights into organizational dynamics and strategic human resource management.
During his tenure with Gujarat power sector utilities, he led large-scale recruitment initiatives and played a key role in establishing dedicated verticals for energy transition and load forecasting. He also drove strategic manpower deployment and championed upskilling programs. Shri Ranpara has been involved in employee engagement and organizational development, introducing sustainable initiatives and working on HR policy formulation. In May 2023, he joined Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India) as Director (HR), contributing significantly to HR policy reforms.
His expertise also extends to Learning & Development, building partnerships with institutions, and implementing succession planning initiatives. He has also explored international consulting assignments in capacity building.
