Nazara Technologies: Raises ₹733.5 Crore via Preferential Issue

Nazara Technologies Limited announced today that it is undertaking a preferential issue of equity shares. The company aims to raise approximately ₹733.5 crore through this issuance. The shares are proposed to be issued at a price of ₹306 per share, determined with reference to the relevant date of 31 July 2026, in accordance with SEBI regulations.

Investment Rationale and Allocation

The preferential issue will be entirely subscribed by the founders and senior leadership team of Bluetile Games and BestPlay Systems. This collective investment of nearly ₹733.5 crore signals a strong expression of confidence in Nazara’s strategy, leadership, and its long-term growth prospects. The capital raised is intended to strengthen Nazara’s balance sheet and will primarily be deployed towards strategic acquisitions, growth initiatives in existing gaming businesses, investment in owned intellectual property, and enhancing AI-enabled game development capabilities.

Key Investor Commitments

Notable among the investors is Raymond Albaladejo Stauffer, who will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of Nazara Technologies from September 1, 2026. He will subscribe to equity shares aggregating approximately ₹583.5 crore, making him a significant individual shareholder. Other investors include Schutze Marc Sylvester (₹86.67 crore), Maxime Loppin (₹30.71 crore), Alexandre Paul Jean Noirot-Cosson (₹21.75 crore), Alexander Osou (₹8.17 crore), and Hugo Rémy Gaston Blavin (₹2.72 crore).

Strengthening Growth Capital

The proceeds from this preferential issue are poised to significantly bolster Nazara’s financial capacity. The company plans to strategically utilize these funds to pursue growth opportunities, including acquisitions and enhancing its existing gaming operations. This move is expected to accelerate Nazara’s expansion across its various business verticals within the global gaming industry.

Nitish Mittersain, Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Nazara Technologies, commented on the proposed investment, stating, “The decision by Raymond and the Bluetile and BestPlay leadership team to invest approximately ₹734 crore of their own capital into Nazara is a powerful endorsement of the global platform we have built over the last few years.”

Raymond Albaladejo Stauffer added, “I’m reinvesting a substantial portion of the proceeds from Bluetile and BestPlay back into Nazara. I’m doing this with a lot of optimism.
