Nazara Technologies: Launches “Bodycam” Game Adaptation on Fortnite Platform

Nazara Technologies, in partnership with Virstate and under agreement with Reissad Studio, has launched “Bodycam UEFN,” an official adaptation of its tactical shooter game, within Epic Games’ Fortnite. This launch leverages Fortnite’s Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and targets a global audience, aiming to expand the Bodycam franchise’s reach and introduce it to a new generation of players.

New Game Adaptation Launched on Fortnite

Nazara Technologies has announced the official launch of “Bodycam UEFN,” an adaptation of its popular tactical shooter game, within the widely popular gaming platform, Fortnite. This initiative is a collaboration with Virstate, developed under an agreement with Reissad Studio, and utilizes Epic Games’ Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).

Expansion into a Global Platform

The “Bodycam UEFN” experience brings the franchise’s signature body-camera perspective, intense close-quarters combat, and high-pressure multiplayer gameplay to Fortnite players worldwide. The game is accessible through Fortnite’s Discover feature or via a specific island code: 9784-3946-5466.

This launch is positioned as an official expansion of the Bodycam universe, designed to attract new players while offering existing fans a fresh way to engage with the game’s core elements. It is presented as a free-to-play gateway into the Bodycam world, specifically created for Fortnite’s ecosystem, rather than a replacement for the original PC version.

Strategic Platform Leveraging

Nitish Mittersain, MD & CEO of Nazara Technologies, highlighted this as Nazara’s inaugural build within Fortnite, viewing the platform as a significant discovery engine. The company intends to build at scale on Fortnite, leveraging its capabilities for future IPs and partnerships. “Bodycam UEFN” features recognizable environments from the original game and includes three multiplayer modes: Free For All, Team Deathmatch, and Gun Game.

The game also incorporates long-term progression systems, including player ranks and unlockable rewards. Future updates are planned to introduce new maps, weapons, and gameplay modes, indicating a commitment to developing “Bodycam UEFN” as a live experience.

Future Prospects and Partnerships

Nazara Technologies aims to elevate player expectations within Fortnite and demonstrate the potential of UEFN as a platform for franchise expansion for major gaming IPs. Luca Dassier, Studio Director at Reissad, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership in preparing for the future of Unreal Engine 6 and its programming language, Verse.

“Bodycam UEFN” is an independently created Fortnite island, developed by Nazara Technologies and Virstate under agreement with Reissad Studio. It is important to note that this adaptation is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Epic Games, Inc.
