National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) announced a key change in its senior management. Shri T.K. Batra has been promoted to the position of Executive Director of the Company, effective September 1, 2026. This appointment follows the superannuation of Shri J. Ramesh, who ceased to be the Executive Director (F&A) on the same date. Shri Batra brings extensive experience from his previous role as Chief General Manager and Head of NFL’s Bathinda Unit.

Ramesh completes his tenure as Executive Director (F&A) on the same date, September 1, 2026, consequent to attaining the age of superannuation on August 31, 2026. This transition ensures continuity in leadership and leverages the deep-seated experience of Shri Batra within the organization.

Brief Profile of Shri T.K. Batra

Shri T.K. Batra is a Chemical Engineer with over 38 years of experience in the fertilizer industry. He joined National Fertilizers Limited in 1988 as a Management Trainee and has held progressively responsible positions across NFL’s Nangal, Vijaipur, and Bathinda Units. His expertise spans Ammonia-Urea plant operations, commissioning, stabilization, maintenance, projects, and overall unit management. He has also contributed to stabilization efforts at Ramagundam Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (RFCL) during his deputation. Currently, he leads NFL’s Bathinda Unit as Chief General Manager since February 29, 2024. Shri Batra holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from NIT Durgapur and an MBA in Finance, and has been instrumental in several major plant revamp and energy-efficiency initiatives.
