Muthoot Finance Limited has unveiled its leadership succession plan, with the Board of Directors recommending the appointment of Mr. Alexander George as the Managing Director. New Roles for Key Leadership

In conjunction with Mr. Alexander George’s appointment, the current Managing Director, George Alexander Muthoot, who has helmed the company for over three decades, will assume the newly created role of Executive Vice Chairman. In this capacity, he will continue to guide the organization, mentor the next generation of leaders, and provide strategic direction.

Furthermore, the Board has recommended the elevation of Mr. K. R. Bijimon to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Bijimon currently serves as the Company’s Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer and brings extensive institutional knowledge and financial acumen, having been with Muthoot for three decades.

Mr. Alexander George, the youngest son of the former Chairman, Late Shri M. G. George Muthoot, brings a strong educational background, including an advanced diploma in business administration and an MBA. He has been associated with the company since 2006 and has held the position of Whole-Time Director, overseeing operations across North, East, and West India. He has been instrumental in expanding the branch network and driving business growth. He has also spearheaded several transformation initiatives in technology, digital banking, and customer experience.

As of June 30, 2026, the company had crossed ₹1.91 trillion in consolidated Loan Assets Under Management.
