Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited Record-Breaking Performance for FY26

Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited (MSWIL) delivered its strongest financial results to date for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. The company achieved a milestone by crossing the INR 100 billion revenue mark for the first time. Driven by robust OEM demand and successful greenfield operations, the firm maintained its debt-free status while outperforming industry growth, despite facing short-term margin pressures due to elevated copper prices.

Record Financial Growth

For the fiscal year 2025-26, Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited reported total revenues of INR 11,478 crore, representing a 23.2% increase compared to the previous year. The company’s profit after tax (PAT) rose to INR 625 crore. This stellar performance is underpinned by the company’s position as a key supplier to 9 out of the top 10 selling passenger vehicle models in India.

Fourth Quarter Performance

In the final quarter (Q4FY26), the company posted revenues of INR 3,335 crore, a significant 32.9% jump year-on-year. While raw material costs—specifically elevated copper prices—impacted profitability margins in the short term, the company successfully offset these challenges through operational resilience. Quarterly PAT reached INR 167 crore, reflecting a 1.2% growth over Q4FY25.

Strategic Highlights

MSWIL continues to capitalize on the shift toward electric mobility, with EV-related revenue accounting for 8.6% of its total revenue in the fourth quarter. The company remains committed to its long-term growth strategy through greenfield investments, which are progressing as planned. Notably, the firm has preserved its debt-free status since its inception, providing a stable foundation for future capital allocation and expansion initiatives.

Management Outlook

Mr. Vivek Chaand Sehgal, Chairman of Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd., attributed the record results to the company’s operational strength and the collective efforts of its workforce. Despite volatility in the global commodities market, the firm remains confident in its ability to navigate supply chain complexities and deliver sustainable long-term value to its stakeholders.
