MOIL Limited has announced a price adjustment for various grades of manganese ore, effective from May 1, 2026. The company has implemented a 4% decrease across most product categories compared to the prices prevailing in April 2026. While most grades saw a downward revision, the base price for Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) remains unchanged, maintaining stability for that specific product segment during the month.
Price Revision Overview
In line with its standard business practices, MOIL Limited has updated its pricing structure for manganese ore, effective from the midnight of April 30, 2026 / May 1, 2026. These adjustments are applicable for the month of May 2026 as part of the broader pricing strategy for the Q1 (April–June) 2026 period.
Key Adjustments by Grade
The company has confirmed a 4% reduction in prices across several key categories:
- Ferro Grades (Mn 44% and above): Prices decreased by 4% from the levels seen in April.
- Ferro Grades (Below Mn 44%): Prices decreased by 4% from the levels seen in April.
- SMGR and Fines: Prices for SMGR (Mn 30%), SMGR (Mn 25%), and Fines have been lowered by 4%.
- Chemical Grades: Prices for all chemical-grade manganese ore have been reduced by 4%.
Stability in EMD Pricing
Despite the broader downward trend in ore prices, MOIL Limited has decided to maintain price stability for its Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) products. The basic price for EMD remains constant at Rs 1,80,000 per metric tonne (PMT) for May 2026, continuing the pricing levels established on April 1, 2026.
