She has held key positions such as Deputy Director General of Defense Estates, where she focused on vigilance matters, and Additional Director General, where she managed national land-related affairs for the Defense sector.
Furthermore, her administrative portfolio includes serving as a Director in the Department of School Education and Literacy and as a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. She holds an LLB from Delhi University and a Post-Graduate degree in Sociology, complemented by her foundational B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology from Kolkata University.
