Meera Industries: Board Appoints New Executive Director, Revises AGM Details

Meera Industries Limited has announced key changes to its Board of Directors and updated details regarding its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). The company has accepted the resignation of Mr. Mayank Desai and appointed Mr. Het Desai as an Additional Director, designated as Executive Director. The AGM date remains unchanged, but the cut-off date for remote e-voting has been revised. Ms. Kenny Desai’s re-appointment is also recommended.

Board Appointments and Resignation

Meera Industries Limited has officially accepted the resignation of Mr. Mayank Desai, who served as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from the close of business on August 31, 2026. Concurrently, the Board has appointed Mr. Het Desai as an Additional Director, designated as an Executive Director (Whole-time Director). This appointment is effective from August 31, 2026, for a period of five years, concluding on August 30, 2031, subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM.

Mr. Het Desai brings a strong technical background with a B.S. in Robotics Engineering Technology from Purdue University, specializing in AI & Software. His experience includes practical work in Automation & Controls and significant achievements in robotics competitions. He is the son of Mr. Dharmesh Desai, Chairman & Managing Director, and Mrs. Bijal Desai, Whole-time Director, and is related to Ms. Kenny Desai, Executive Director.

AGM Details Revised

In related corporate actions, the company has revised the cut-off date for remote e-voting and e-voting during the 20th Annual General Meeting. The new cut-off date is now Tuesday, September 22, 2026, an adjustment from the previously announced date of September 21, 2026. The Register of Members and Share Transfer Books will remain closed from Tuesday, September 22, 2026, to Tuesday, September 29, 2026, inclusive, for the AGM.

The date of the 20th Annual General Meeting itself remains unchanged at Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The Board also recommended the re-appointment of Ms. Kenny Desai, who retires by rotation and is eligible for re-appointment, pending member approval.

Revised Board Report Approved

The Board also considered and approved a Revised draft Notice of the AGM and the Revised Board’s Report for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. These supersede the previous drafts approved on August 14, 2026. Mr. Het Desai is confirmed not to be debarred from holding a directorial office.
