Max Healthcare: Q1 FY27 Revenue Rises 16% to ₹2,982 Cr

Max Healthcare Institute Limited has reported robust financial results for the first quarter of FY27, ending June 30, 2026. The company’s consolidated revenue grew by 16% YoY to ₹2,982 crore. Network Operating EBITDA also saw a significant increase of 15% YoY, reaching ₹704 crore. The quarter was marked by strategic acquisitions and growth in operational bed capacity.

Max Healthcare Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Performance

Max Healthcare Institute Limited announced its financial and operating results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company achieved a consolidated Gross Revenue of ₹2,982 crore for the quarter, representing a substantial 16% year-over-year (YoY) growth. This expansion was primarily driven by an increase in Occupied Bed Days (OBDs).

Key Financial Highlights

The Network Operating EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹704 crore, marking a 15% YoY increase. The EBITDA margin was reported at 24.8%, compared to 24.9% in Q1 FY26. Net Profit After Tax (PAT) for the network was ₹357 crore, up 3% from ₹345 crore in the prior year’s comparable quarter.

Strategic Growth and Expansion

The company highlighted several strategic developments during the quarter. It completed the acquisition of a controlling stake (58.28%) in Kalinga Hospital Limited (KHL) for approximately ₹298 crore. KHL operates a 250-bed multi-speciality hospital in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Additionally, Max Healthcare acquired all outstanding Class A equity shares of Yerawada Properties Private Limited (YPPL), representing 100% of voting rights and ~50.22% of the economic interest.

Further organic growth is anticipated with 202 beds operationalized in the brownfield tower of Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, with an additional 198 beds to be handed over in Q2 FY27. The Board also approved a capital expenditure of ₹425 crore for a new brownfield tower at MSSH Vaishali, expected to add 202 beds.

Operational Performance

Average occupancy for the quarter was 75%, with OBDs growing by 10% YoY. Average Revenue Per Occupied Bed (ARPOB) saw a 5% YoY increase to ₹81.9k. Max Lab reported revenue of ₹58 crore, a 20% YoY growth, while Max@Home revenue grew by 32% YoY to ₹78 crore.
