Major Expansion Projects Approved

Max Healthcare Institute Limited’s Board of Directors has given the go-ahead for significant capital expenditures aimed at expanding its hospital network. The company announced on October 30, 2026, that it will invest approximately ₹190 crore across two key projects to enhance clinical capacity and service offerings.

Noida Hospital Redevelopment

A substantial portion of the investment, around ₹93 crore, will be directed towards the redevelopment and clinical capacity enhancement program at the Max Super Speciality Hospital located in Sector-128, Noida. This initiative is expected to add approximately 85 beds to the hospital’s existing capacity, which currently stands at around 400 beds. The project is slated for completion and commissioning within 15 months and will be financed through internal accruals. The rationale behind this expansion is to cater to the growing healthcare needs of the Delhi-NCR region.

Vaishali Hospital Capacity Increase

In parallel, Max Healthcare has approved a capital expenditure of nearly ₹97 crore for the expansion of its Max Super Speciality Hospital in Vaishali. This project involves the construction of two additional floors over the existing Block B, which will add approximately 60 beds to the hospital’s current capacity of around 387 beds. This expansion is also planned to be completed and commissioned within 24 months, utilizing internal accruals. Similar to the Noida project, this expansion aims to better serve the communities in the Delhi-NCR region.

Leadership Appointment

In addition to the capital expenditure approvals, the Board also approved the appointment of Dr. Dharmender Kumar as Director & Chief – Public Affairs. Identified as a Senior Management Personnel, his appointment is effective from November 1, 2026, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Dr. Kumar brings extensive experience in public affairs and policy advocacy to the organization.
