Max Healthcare Institute: Q1 FY27 Results Approved; Key Appointments Made

Max Healthcare Institute Limited announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The Board of Directors approved the standalone and consolidated results, alongside key senior management appointments including Mr. Ajay Vij as Director – Chief Supply Chain & Procurement Officer and Mr. Pawan Kumar Marella as Senior Director – Chief Experience & Brand Officer. Additionally, the company approved a significant capital expenditure of ~₹425 crore for the expansion of its Max Super Speciality Hospital in Vaishali.

Max Healthcare Institute Announces Q1 FY27 Financials and Key Strategic Moves

Max Healthcare Institute Limited convened a Board meeting on August 13, 2026, to review and approve its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company disclosed its standalone and consolidated financial performance, based on recommendations from the Audit Committee. Unmodified limited review reports from M/s. S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP, Chartered Accountants, were also part of the approved filings.

Senior Management Appointments

The Board also approved significant changes within its senior management team. Effective August 14, 2026, Mr. Ajay Vij has been appointed as Director – Chief Supply Chain & Procurement Officer. Subsequently, Mr. Pawan Kumar Marella will join as Senior Director – Chief Experience & Brand Officer, effective August 17, 2026. These appointments were made upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Leadership Transition

In a related development, Dr. N. Venkatesan, Senior Director & Chief Procurement Officer, has tendered his resignation, which will be effective from the closing hours of August 31, 2026, to pursue future career opportunities.

Capital Expenditure for Expansion

A substantial capital expenditure of approximately ₹425 crore was approved for the expansion of Max Super Speciality Hospital in Vaishali. This investment will fund the construction of an additional hospital block, ‘Tower 3’, adding approximately 202 census beds and 48 non-census beds to the existing capacity. The project is expected to be commissioned by November 2029 and will be financed through a combination of internal accruals and borrowings. The expansion aims to cater to the growing healthcare needs of communities in and around the Ghaziabad region.

In-Principle Approval for Medical Colleges

The Board also granted its in-principle approval to explore and evaluate the setup of medical colleges and institutions, either directly or through subsidiaries. This initiative is in response to proposed amendments by the National Medical Commission. Further, the company’s Memorandum of Association will be amended to incorporate additional enabling objects aligned with its long-term business strategy, subject to member approval.
