These changes, which are effective from June 1, 2026, involve both a retirement and a new appointment at the Executive Director (Projects) level, one level below the Board.
Shri. BHV Prasad’s Retirement
Shri. BHV Prasad, who has been serving as the Executive Director (Projects), has retired from his position. His departure is due to superannuation, marking the end of his tenure with the company. The announcement acknowledges his service and the transition in leadership for the projects division.
Shri. Pattathil Sujith Appointed Executive Director (Projects)
In a related development, Shri. Pattathil Sujith has been appointed as the new Executive Director (Projects). His appointment is effective from June 1, 2026. Shri. Sujith brings a wealth of experience to this critical role. As detailed in Annexure 1, he is a Mechanical Engineer with over three decades of industry experience. Since joining MRPL in 1993, he has accumulated extensive expertise across various functions including Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering & Inspection, Projects, and Corporate Strategy. His career highlights include a key role in commissioning the refinery’s Phase I, II, and III units, establishing the Asset Integrity Management System for the Phase III complex, and executing MRPL’s BS-VI project.
