Financial Performance and Segmental Review

During the call, Mr. V. Senthil, Chief Financial Officer, reported that the revenue for the period ended June 26 stood at ₹891 crore, a marginal increase from ₹889 crore in the previous quarter and a significant 24% growth compared to ₹722 crore in the June 25 quarter. Profit Before Tax (PBT) was reported at ₹85 crore, up 18% from the previous quarter and a substantial 151% increase from ₹34 crore in the June 25 quarter. The TMD revenue was ₹482 crore, while LMW Global reported a turnover of ₹51 crore with a loss of ₹5.6 crore. LMW China’s turnover was ₹11 crore with a loss of ₹7 crore. Consolidated revenue stood at ₹902 crore, with a profit of ₹75 crore.

Order Book and Future Outlook

The company currently holds an order book of ₹3,200 crore, with active orders around ₹2,400 crore. The sales ratio for domestic, export, and spares was 64%, 10%, and 26% respectively. The order book for ATC stands at approximately ₹1,000 crore for execution over three to three and a half years, with a 90% export and 10% domestic split for composite metallics. The Machine Tool Division (MTD) order book is primarily short-term, focusing on cash and delivery within three months. The company noted a steady increase in order inflow and expressed confidence in continued demand for spindles, supported by state policies and FTAs. There is also a focus on capacity expansion, with a new facility planned for ATC involving ₹150 crore in land and building investment over 18-24 months.

Strategic Initiatives and Market Dynamics

Discussions also touched upon strategic expansions into new divisions, exploring advanced technologies, and the company’s response to market dynamics such as currency fluctuations and commodity costs. Management indicated that while certain input costs have increased by 3-3.5%, the company is actively working on cost mitigation strategies, including domestic procurement and price revisions where applicable.
