LMW Limited has identified a group of shareholders who have not encashed or claimed their dividends for seven consecutive years, starting from the 2018-19 financial year. Under statutory guidelines, the company is mandated to transfer these specific equity shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). This measure applies to all shares where the associated dividend remains unclaimed for the specified seven-year period.
Deadline for Action
Shareholders are advised that the deadline to claim their pending 2018-19 Final Dividend is August 28, 2026. Failure to initiate a claim by this date will result in the automatic transfer of the underlying shares to the IEPF authority. Once the shares have been transferred to the government fund, they can no longer be claimed through the company directly.
How to Reclaim Your Shares
To prevent the transfer of shares, or to seek clarification regarding unclaimed amounts, shareholders should reach out to the company’s Registrar and Transfer Agent, MUFG Intime India Private Limited. All correspondence should include the shareholder’s name, folio number or DP/Client ID, contact information, and email address. Supporting documents, including self-attested PAN copies, a cancelled cheque leaf, and a recent utility bill as address proof, must be submitted to facilitate the claim process.
For those whose shares are transferred, recovery remains possible by submitting an online application via Form IEPF 5, which is accessible through the official government portal at www.iepf.gov.in.
