Standalone revenue and EBITDA also saw substantial growth, marking the strongest quarter to date.

Lloyds Metals and Energy Reports Stellar Q1 FY27 Performance

Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited has declared a remarkable Q1 FY27 performance, marked by record-breaking financial figures. The company’s consolidated revenue reached an impressive ₹7,354 crores, representing a significant increase of over 200% compared to the previous year. This surge underscores the group’s robust operational capabilities and expanding market presence.

Margin Expansion and Operational Highlights

A key highlight of the quarter was the expansion of EBITDA margins to a record 39.2% on a consolidated basis. This was primarily attributed to the commissioning of the slurry pipeline, leading to lower logistics and freight costs for iron ore and pellets. Furthermore, higher product realizations and an increased contribution from value-added products like pellets significantly strengthened the overall margin. The company also reported the commissioning of its second pellet plant in May 2026, which achieved 100% capacity utilization within four months.

Standalone Financial Strength

On a standalone basis, revenue from operations stood at ₹5,413 crores, a substantial 127% year-on-year growth and a 10% sequential increase from Q4 FY26. EBITDA for the standalone entity grew by 172% year-on-year to ₹2,120 crores, with EBITDA margins reaching 39.2%. Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter was ₹1,527 crores, up 141% year-on-year.

Product-Wise Performance

Product-wise performance was strong across segments. Iron ore production for the quarter was 6.05 million tons, a 53% increase year-on-year, with sales at 5.46 million tons, up 58%. Pellet production reached 1.69 million tons with 100% capacity utilization for the newly commissioned plant. DRI sales volume saw a significant jump of 133% year-on-year.

Capex and Debt Management

The company continued its strategic capex investments, incurring approximately ₹3,005 crores in Q1 FY27 towards downstream and beneficiation projects. Standalone net debt stood at ₹5,616 crores, considered comfortable relative to EBITDA generation. Consolidated net debt remains around ₹19,000 crores, with efforts underway to renegotiate terms for the Chemaf acquisition.

Future Outlook and Growth Drivers

Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited remains focused on its growth pipeline, which includes projects like BHQ beneficiation, a third pellet plant, and enhanced slurry handling systems. The company anticipates further integration, expanded value-added capacity, and reduced delivered costs. The planned expansion into steel and copper production is also expected to drive future growth.
