Key projects include new garment and processing facilities, as well as modernization of existing knitting and spinning units, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and market reach.

K.P.R. Mill Limited announced that its Board of Directors, in a meeting held on August 10, 2026, has greenlit a significant expansion and modernization strategy. This comprehensive plan is designed to bolster the company’s capabilities across the entire textile value chain, aiming to drive future growth and operational excellence.
Key Projects and Investment
The approved plan encompasses several key projects:
- Green Field Projects:
- A new Ready-Made Garment manufacturing facility in Odisha, with a capacity of 45 Million garments per annum. Estimated cost: ₹450 Crores. Expected completion: 1st Quarter of 2027-28.
- A new Processing factory at Perundurai, Coimbatore, with a processing capacity of 10,000 MT per annum. Estimated cost: ₹250 Crores. Expected completion: 2nd Quarter of 2027-28.
- A new Sweater Manufacturing factory in Karumathampatti, Coimbatore, with a capacity of 2.5 Million Garments per annum. Estimated cost: ₹75 Crores. Expected completion: 4th Quarter of 2026-27.
- Modernization Cum Expansion Projects:
- Modernization and expansion of the Knitted fabric facility in Arasur, Coimbatore, to produce 15,000 MT per annum. Estimated cost: ₹90 Crores. Expected completion: 3rd Quarter of 2026-27.
- Modernization and expansion of the Knitted fabric facility in Neelambur, Coimbatore, to produce 20,000 MT per annum. Estimated cost: ₹100 Crores. Expected completion: 4th Quarter of 2026-27.
- Modernization and expansion of Spinning Mill unit 3 at Karumathampatti, Coimbatore. Estimated cost: ₹85 Crores. Expected completion: 3rd Quarter of 2026-27.
- Modernization and expansion of Spinning Mill unit 1 at Karumathampatti, Coimbatore. Estimated cost: ₹175 Crores. Expected completion: 4th Quarter of 2026-27.
The total investment for these projects amounts to ₹1,225 Crores. The company anticipates an expected turnover of approximately ₹2,000 Crores from these initiatives. The capital expenditure (Capex) will be funded through internal accruals.
