KPI Green Energy Limited Secures 500 MW Solar BOS Project in Rajasthan

KPI Green Energy Limited has secured a significant 500 MW grid-connected solar Balance of System (BOS) project from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. Located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the contract is valued at ₹621 crore. This major order signifies the company’s strategic entry into the Rajasthan renewable energy market and includes a comprehensive 3-year operational and maintenance package along with a 10-year AMC, reflecting its continued growth in the utility-scale solar sector.

Strategic Expansion into Rajasthan

KPI Green Energy Limited has announced a major milestone with the receipt of Notifications of Award for a 500 MW solar BOS project based in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This project marks a significant geographical expansion for the company, establishing a strong presence in one of India’s most vital renewable energy hubs. The initiative aligns with national goals to accelerate green energy capacity and infrastructure development.

Contract Details and Financials

The total project is valued at ₹621 crore, excluding GST. The award is strategically divided into two distinct blocks: a 300 MW block valued at ₹367 crore and a 200 MW block valued at ₹254 crore. The comprehensive scope of work includes the supply of plant and equipment, inland transportation, insurance, installation, testing, commissioning, and all associated civil works.

Operational Commitment

Beyond the initial development and construction phases, the company has committed to providing extensive support services. The agreement encompasses a comprehensive operation and maintenance service period of 3 years following the successful Commercial Operation Date (COD), supplemented by a 10-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC). This long-term engagement underscores the company’s dedication to project performance and reliable energy delivery.
