Kansai Nerolac: Q1 FY27 Revenue Grows 10.2% on Strong Decorative & Industrial Performance

Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited announced its Q1 FY27 financial results, with standalone net revenue growing 10.2% year-on-year. The company reported PBDIT growth of 7.7% and PBT growth of 5.1%. Consolidated revenue rose 9.8%, with PBDIT up 8.3% and PBT up 5.8%. Kansai Nerolac Reports Q1 FY27 Financials

Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited has released its financial results for the first quarter of FY27. On a standalone basis, the company recorded a net revenue growth of 10.2%. Earnings before depreciation, interest, and taxes (PBDIT) saw a rise of 7.7%, and profit before tax (PBT) increased by 5.1% compared to the same period last year.

On a consolidated basis, net revenue for the quarter grew by 9.8%. Consolidated PBDIT increased by 8.3%, and consolidated PBT grew by 5.8%, indicating steady financial performance across its operations.

Segmental Performance and Strategy

The company’s performance was bolstered by growth across its key segments. The decorative paints business exhibited healthy momentum, driven by a focus on premium products and strategic market initiatives. The industrial segment also contributed positively, with a notable double-digit growth in project and institutional business and construction chemicals. Kansai Nerolac continues to prioritize premiumization, technological innovation, and market expansion to strengthen its leadership positions.

Capacity Expansion and Outlook

Kansai Nerolac is undertaking capacity expansion for automotive, powder coating, and resin at Sayakha, Bawal, and Hosur, with a total capex outlay of INR601 crores. This expansion is expected to add 66,000 KL per year in capacity and approximately 10,000 metric tons of resin capacity annually. The company also achieved accolades, including the Golden Peacock Award for Energy Efficiency and multiple awards for its decorative products.

Looking ahead, Kansai Nerolac anticipates sustained demand in infrastructure and construction sectors, while automotive demand is expected to remain buoyant. The company remains focused on navigating geopolitical risks and commodity price volatility through internal efficiencies and strategic pricing. The medium-term outlook suggests a continued drive towards premiumization and expansion in industrial segments, aiming for higher growth trajectories.
