Kalyan Jewellers: Q1 FY27 Revenue Surges 38% on Strong Demand

Kalyan Jewellers India Limited has announced robust financial results for the first quarter of FY27, reporting a consolidated revenue growth of 38% to INR10,008 crore. Consolidated profit after tax increased by 30% to INR349 crore. The company highlighted strong demand across India and the Middle East, with strategic initiatives like the ‘Shine with India’ campaign enhancing recycled gold share. Expansion plans include the launch of a new regional brand, ‘Akshaya Thanga Maligai’, in Tamil Nadu.

Kalyan Jewellers Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Performance

Kalyan Jewellers India Limited posted impressive financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a consolidated revenue of INR10,008 crore, marking a significant growth of 38% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Consolidated EBITDA stood at INR633 crore, a 24.6% increase from INR508 crore in the prior year’s quarter. Consolidated profit after tax grew by 30% to INR349 crore, up from INR264 crore in Q1 FY26.

India and Middle East Business Highlights

The India business demonstrated strong performance, with revenue reaching INR8,503 crore compared to INR6,142 crore in the previous year, a growth of 37%. India EBITDA was reported at INR500 crore, up from INR434 crore. The Middle East operations also saw substantial growth, with revenues at approximately INR1,320 crore versus INR1,026 crore, an increase of 28.7%. Middle East EBITDA was INR90 crore, up from INR73 crore.

Strategic Initiatives and Expansion

The company’s proactive ‘Shine with India’ gold recirculation campaign, aimed at increasing the share of recycled gold, was well-received by customers. This initiative helped increase the share of recycled gold to over 46% of revenue during Q1 FY27. For the month of June, this share exceeded 55%, with efforts to maintain it between 55% and 60% going forward.

Kalyan Jewellers has unveiled its first regional brand, ‘Akshaya Thanga Maligai’ (ATM), exclusively tailored for the Tamil Nadu market. The first showroom under this brand will launch on August 21st in Chennai, with four additional showrooms planned in the coming months. This move aims to compete directly with established regional jewellery chains and unorganized players.

Debt Reduction and Financial Outlook

The company is on track to complete the repayment of non-GML debt by the end of September 2026, with subsequent steps planned for the release of real estate collaterals. Management expressed optimism for the upcoming festive and wedding season, anticipating continued robust demand. The e-commerce business, Candere, posted revenue of INR141 crore, a significant increase from INR66 crore in the previous year, and recorded a profit of INR2.1 crore.
