The project will utilize 887 acres of land, including approximately 595 acres of freehold land and 292 acres of leasehold land, already held by the subsidiary, Saffron Resources Private Limited.
Details of the Joint Venture
Under the new arrangement, Saffron Resources Private Limited will operate as a 50:50 joint venture between JSW Steel and POSCO Group. The POSCO Group is set to subscribe to equity shares of Saffron for a consideration of ~INR 508.8 crore, subject to standard closing adjustments. Both partners will hold equal rights, including the authority to appoint an equal number of directors to the board of the joint venture, ensuring shared governance and operational oversight.
