JSW Steel has appointed Sandeep Batra as President & CHRO – Steel & Corporate, effective November 18, 2025. The appointment follows the recommendation of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee and has been approved by the Board of Directors. Mr. Batra brings 31 years of experience across diverse sectors, including IT, telecom, and retail, to his new role at JSW Steel.

Executive Profile: Sandeep Batra
Mr. Batra brings a wealth of experience spanning 31 years to JSW Steel. His background includes leadership roles in various sectors such as IT, Consumer goods, Telecom, Retail, Infrastructure, and Aviation. He previously served as Chief People Officer at Adani Airport Holdings Limited and Adani Digital Labs since June 2022.
Mr. Batra’s expertise lies in Talent Management, Organization Design, and driving productivity. His previous role involved leading the People Function for the Airport Group, overseeing infrastructure and digital business across eight airports, and supporting six Joint Venture businesses, managing approximately 15,000 employees.
Prior to Adani, Mr. Batra was Group President HR and Head of Foundation & Corporate Communication at Landmark Group from April 2020 to May 2022. He also held various positions at Vodafone Idea (previously Vodafone India) from March 2008 to April 2020.
Educational Background
Mr. Batra holds a Masters Certificate in HR Transformation from Cornell University (2021), a Senior Management Program from IIM Kolkata (2010), and a PGDBM from IMT Ghaziabad (1995).
