The project, to be executed by its wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Port Logistics Private Limited, aims to develop a multi-modal logistics park, including a fully equipped ICD, operational within one year from the LOI issuance.

The LOI was issued by the Inter-Ministerial Committee, under the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.
The proposed ICD will be located at Village Kudathini, Ballari District, Karnataka. This initiative is a crucial step in developing a comprehensive multi-modal logistics park, which will include a fully equipped ICD. JSW Port Logistics Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Infrastructure, will undertake the development of this facility.
Strategic Expansion in Ballari Region
This development is particularly noteworthy as it represents the first ICD in the Ballari region dedicated to handling import and export cargo. The project aligns with the company’s objective to enhance its logistics capabilities and cater to the growing trade demands in the region. The LOI is subject to the terms and conditions stipulated within the document itself.
Operational Timeline and Subsidiary Involvement
The LOI has been received with respect to setting up an ICD for handling of Import / Export cargo. JSW Port Logistics Private Limited was previously involved in acquiring a brownfield Rail Siding in Kudathini, Ballari, Karnataka, and has also commenced interim operations at this facility since March 10, 2026. The newly awarded LOI signifies a further expansion of its strategic presence.
As per the terms of the LOI, the ICD is expected to be made operational within a period of one year from the date of issue of the LOI. The company was officially informed about the grant of this LOI via email on September 10, 2026, around 8:00 p.m.
