JSW Energy Limited Reports Highest-Ever Annual Power Sales, EBITDA, and PAT for FY26

JSW Energy has achieved a monumental year, reporting its highest-ever annual power sales, EBITDA, and PAT for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. The company saw a 58% YoY increase in power sales volume and an 81% growth in annual EBITDA. Strategic acquisitions like KSK Mahanadi and O2 Power have been successfully integrated, driving significant operational and financial momentum as the firm continues to expand its renewable and thermal capacities.

Financial Performance Overview

For the financial year ended March 31, 2026, JSW Energy demonstrated exceptional growth. The company reported annual Revenue from Operations of ₹18,901.13 crore, compared to ₹11,745.39 crore in the previous year. Profit for the year soared to ₹2,762.41 crore, showcasing the success of the company’s aggressive capacity expansion and strategic integration of recent acquisitions.

Operational Milestones

The company’s installed capacity reached 13.45 GW, with an addition of 2,579 MW over the last twelve months. This growth was driven by both organic renewable additions and key inorganic acquisitions. Notably, total power sales volume for the year saw a significant 58% year-over-year increase, reaching 11.7 billion units (BUs) in the final quarter alone.

Strategic Acquisitions and Integration

The successful integration of KSK Mahanadi and the O2 Power portfolio has been a cornerstone of this year’s success. KSK Mahanadi significantly boosted EBITDA, contributing ₹943 crore in the final quarter, while O2 Power added ₹263 crore. Furthermore, the company solidified its operational foundation by acquiring Raigarh Champa Rail Infrastructure and moving forward with the acquisition of Tidong Hydro Power from Statkraft.

Shareholder Returns and Future Outlook

In recognition of the strong financial results, the Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of 20% (₹2 per equity share) for the 2025-26 financial year. Looking ahead, the company remains firm in its commitment to Strategy 3.0, aiming for a total power generation capacity of 30 GW by 2030, supported by a healthy liquidity position with cash balances totaling ₹10,013 crore as of the fiscal year-end.
