Strategic Capacity Expansion
As of May 15, 2026, JSW Energy continues to execute its growth strategy by successfully adding 250 MW of renewable energy to its portfolio. The capacity addition comprises 130 MW of wind, 69.4 MW of solar, and the successful commissioning of Unit-I of the Tidong Hydro Plant, which contributed 50 MW. This achievement reflects the company’s strong execution capabilities and operational efficiency, particularly in integrating acquired assets.
Hydro Power Milestone
The commissioning of Tidong Unit-I was achieved in a record turnaround time following its acquisition in January 2026. This strategic move positions the company to maximize output during the current hydro season. The organization remains on track to commission the remaining two units of the Tidong Hydro Plant by June 2026.
Growth Roadmap and Future Outlook
JSW Energy currently maintains a 59% share of renewables in its total capacity mix. The company’s total locked-in generation capacity stands at 32.1 GW, with 13.7 GW operational and 13.8 GW currently under construction. Looking ahead, the company plans to add approximately 3 GW of renewable capacity in FY27, backed by a planned capital expenditure of ₹20,000 crores. JSW Energy maintains a firm commitment to reaching 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030, while aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050.
