JK Tyre Reports Steady Q1 FY27 Performance

JK Tyre & Industries Limited, a leading Indian tyre manufacturer, has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027 (Q1 FY27), which concluded on June 30, 2026. The company demonstrated a resilient performance with a consolidated turnover of ₹3,956 crore.

Key Financial Highlights

The consolidated results indicate a steady topline, supported by strong demand momentum across various business segments. The company reported an EBITDA of ₹268 crore, achieving an EBITDA margin of 6.8%. Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at ₹54 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) was ₹43 crore.

Operational Performance and Market Dynamics

Commenting on the results, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, stated that the company’s performance in Q1 FY27 was driven by a sharp focus on customer centricity, product excellence, and disciplined market execution. Domestic volumes saw a significant year-on-year growth of 25%, with the replacement market growing by 12% and the OE (Original Equipment) markets by 42%. The company noted an increasing contribution from higher-value added products. However, the ongoing West Asia crisis led to a sharp increase in raw material prices, impacting gross and operating margins, as approximately 70% of tyre industry raw materials are petro-based.

Future Outlook

Dr. Singhania expressed confidence in improving performance in FY27, aiming for double-digit revenue growth and enhanced profitability through strategic expansions, with a focus on operating leverage, cost reductions, and increasing the share of premium products.

Company Recognition

JK Tyre was also recognized as “One of the Best Workplaces in the Auto and Auto Components Industry” for 2026 by ‘Great Place to Work’, marking its third consecutive year receiving this accolade.
